Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about SteadyAF — for Athletes, families, and providers.

For Athletes
  • SteadyAF is a comprehensive, science-backed stability platform that helps adults train their balance, build strength, and maintain independence. It combines adaptive assessments, personalized exercise plans, medication intelligence, home safety tools, and an AI Navigator — all in one app designed for proactive fall prevention.
  • Your Stability Score is a single number from 0–100 that synthesizes your balance, strength, mobility, medication risk, and home environment data. It updates as you train and gives you a clear, measurable benchmark for progress. Think of it like a credit score — but for your independence.
  • No special equipment required. SteadyAF works with your smartphone and uses the device's built-in sensors for many assessments. Some exercises use household items like a chair. Optional integrations — including Apple Health and Medisafe — enhance the experience but are not required.
  • Yes. SteadyAF is available as a mobile app (iOS and Android) and via web browser. Your data syncs automatically across all your devices so you can train wherever is most convenient.
  • The AI Navigator is your 24/7 stability coach. Trained specifically on fall prevention science and your personal data, it answers questions, adjusts your plan, and helps you navigate care decisions — any time of day, without an appointment.
  • Yes. SteadyAF is built HIPAA-ready from day one. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. You control who has access to your information, and we never sell your data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
  • Yes. SteadyAF integrates with Medisafe so you can import your medication list directly. Once imported, our Medication Intelligence engine analyzes your medications for fall risk factors and generates a report you can share with your provider.
For Families & Champions
  • A Champion is a trusted family member or friend who supports an Athlete's stability journey. Champions receive a summary view of their Athlete's progress — including Stability Score trends and training adherence — with full control over what gets shared. The Athlete decides exactly what their Champion can see.
  • The Anchor Network is SteadyAF's coordinated care layer. It connects Athletes with their Champions (family) and Providers (clinical) in a shared, permission-based view. Everyone who matters stays informed and aligned — automatically.
  • The Guardian System is a proactive monitoring layer available to Champions. It sends meaningful alerts when an Athlete's Stability Score drops significantly, exercise adherence declines, or an Emergency Snapshot is generated — so you can act before a fall happens.
  • After creating your Champion account, send your Athlete a connection request from within the app. Once they accept, you'll have access to the shared Anchor Network view. Your Athlete controls exactly what data you can see.
For Healthcare Providers
  • Providers can refer Athletes directly from the Provider Dashboard by entering a patient's email address. The Athlete receives a personalized invitation with their provider's name and a pre-filled onboarding flow.
  • Through the Provider Dashboard, you can view your Athletes' Stability Scores, training adherence, assessment history, medication flags, and any Emergency Snapshots they've shared with you. You see only what each Athlete has explicitly granted access to.
  • SteadyAF is built HIPAA-ready with end-to-end encryption, audit logging, and Business Associate Agreement (BAA) support. We take the compliance requirements of clinical environments seriously from the ground up. Contact us at providers@steadyaf.app for BAA inquiries.
  • The Provider Dashboard gives you a panel view of all your connected Athletes. You can monitor Stability Score trends, track training adherence, send personalized care plan recommendations, and receive alerts when meaningful changes occur — all between appointments. Learn more on our Providers page.
Pricing & Plans
  • The Individual plan is designed for a single Athlete and includes all core features: Stability Score, Exercise Library, Medication Tracking, AI Navigator, Home Safety Audit, and Anchor Network (up to 3 Providers). The Family plan adds up to 4 Athlete profiles, Champion accounts, a shared Anchor Network, Guardian System, priority support, and early access to new features.
  • We do not offer a free trial. SteadyAF gives you full access to all plan features from day one, so you start seeing value immediately. If you're not satisfied, you can cancel anytime — no questions asked.
  • Yes. Choosing annual billing saves you 17% compared to monthly. The Individual annual plan is $16.59/mo (billed $199.08/year), and the Family annual plan is $20.74/mo (billed $248.88/year). You can switch to annual billing at any time from your account settings.
  • Yes. You can cancel your subscription anytime from your account settings. There are no contracts or hidden fees. Your access continues through the end of your current billing period, and you'll never be charged after cancellation.
Technical
  • SteadyAF is available on iOS (iPhone and iPad) and Android smartphones and tablets, as well as modern web browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge). We recommend using a smartphone for the best assessment experience, as it uses the device's motion sensors.
  • Yes. SteadyAF integrates with Apple Health to import activity, heart rate, and step data. This enriches your Stability Score and helps the AI Navigator give you more personalized guidance. You control which data categories are shared.
  • An internet connection is required for assessments, AI Navigator conversations, and syncing data with your Anchor Network. Some exercise routines are cached and can be accessed offline, but we recommend staying connected for the full SteadyAF experience.
